A brand built to scale with the product
MaintainX Brand Refresh
MaintainX is a B2B SaaS platform that helps frontline teams manage maintenance operations with less downtime and more control. As the product expanded into enterprise customers and AI-driven workflows, the brand needed to reflect that same level of maturity.
The existing identity had strong foundations, but as the company scaled, brand execution began to fragment. Visual decisions varied by channel, similar problems were being solved multiple times, and the brand no longer moved at the same speed as the product.
The goal of this brand refresh was to bring structure and clarity back into the system, creating a brand that could support scale, speed, and consistency across the company without losing what made MaintainX recognizable.
Deliverables:
UI/UX Design
Website Design
Logo Design
Framer Development

Sharper, more precise, and built to last
Logo Evolution
The MaintainX word-mark was refined by moving from a Poppins-based construction to a more Inter-inspired typographic approach. This shift allowed the logo to feel sharper, more precise, and better aligned with a modern enterprise SaaS product.
Rounded corners were replaced with cleaner edges to introduce a more technical and confident tone. The intent was to make the logo feel more senior and enterprise-ready, without becoming trendy or over-designed.
Maintaining recognition was non-negotiable. The “X” remains visually dominant, preserving brand equity while acting as a strong anchor across the system. This was an evolution, not a rebrand.

From symbol to structure
The X system
The “X” was developed into a flexible system rather than a standalone mark. Its geometry informs layouts, patterns, and motion across the brand.
Clear construction rules ensure consistency as the system scales, while still allowing flexibility across different applications. This transforms the “X” into a foundational design language that supports long-term use.

Layouts powered by the X
The X is a simple geometric form that integrates naturally with grids, blocks, and core shapes to structure layouts and hierarchy.

Scalable patterns
The X system expands into repeatable patterns that scale across surfaces while maintaining consistency and visual rhythm.

Direction through shape
By repeating and rotating the system shapes, the X becomes a dynamic pattern language that signals movement and momentum.
Grounded in real work
Photography
Color was defined first and grounded in the real environments our users work in every day. The palette is inspired by tones found in our photography, drawn from factories, equipment, uniforms, and industrial spaces. Because users already see these colors daily, the brand feels familiar rather than imposed.
Blue remains the core brand color, anchoring MaintainX in reliability, clarity, and confidence. Supporting colors add flexibility across product and marketing while maintaining contrast, accessibility, and consistency at scale.

Designed to work across every touchpoint
Applications
The brand system was designed to perform consistently across marketing and product touchpoints.
UI elements are often embedded directly into photography, grounding the software in real-world contexts and helping users immediately recognize the product. Brand shapes are applied as flexible patterns across layouts, with clear rules to maintain consistency and visual hierarchy.
The system scales from the smallest details, such as pills and UI components, to large applications across campaigns, product moments, and core brand surfaces. Every application reinforces clarity, usability, and brand recognition at scale.

From fragmented layouts to a clear system
Emails
Email was one of the areas where brand inconsistency was most visible. Layouts varied widely, hierarchy was unclear, and visual decisions changed from send to send, making the experience feel fragmented.
This work focused on bringing structure and clarity to lifecycle communications. A consistent framework was introduced to define layout, hierarchy, and component usage, aligning emails with the broader brand system.
The result is a clearer, more cohesive email experience that supports faster execution, improves consistency, and better reflects the maturity of the MaintainX brand.

Designing from the inside out
Values
With the external brand system established, the focus shifted inward. The goal was to bring the same level of clarity and intention to how MaintainX communicates its values internally.
The values were translated into a clear visual and messaging system that teams could easily understand and use. Design became a tool to align people, reinforce culture, and make abstract principles feel tangible in day-to-day work.
Entitled to nothing, grateful for everything

Clear rules for consistent execution
Brand Guidelines
All elements were consolidated into a comprehensive brand guidelines document covering logo usage, color, typography, photography, layouts, components, and applications.
The guidelines reduce ambiguity and brand drift, empowering teams across the company to create consistent, high-quality work without constant review. This foundation supports faster execution and long-term scalability.
